Job Description:
Delivers cutting-edge technology solutions across complex,
multi-system platforms by building, testing, and engineering
performant and scalable desktop and Web applications, using .NET,
Java, and Web and client-server technologies. Designs and develops
enterprise Cloud-based solutions using Amazon Cloud Computing
services. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for
divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing
complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of
alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project
development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to
development experts and management. Primary Responsibilities: Participates in architecture design teams. Defines and implements application level architecture. Develops applications on complex projects, components, and
subsystems for the division. Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and
reviews and validates test plans. Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
or subsystems. Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects
across multiple platforms. Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget. Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for
projects. Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for
multiple projects. Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various
project/technology issues. Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical
evaluation estimates on technology initiatives. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Mentors junior team members. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional
initiatives. Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Drives the coordination of multiple development work streams
through integration and ensures architecture is scalable and
extensible. Leads the identification, isolation, resolution, and
communication of problems within production and nonproduction
environments. Provide proactive technical assistance, oversight, and
mentorship to development teams, aiding in resolving complex
technical issues and improving operational efficiency. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years
of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience
developing desktop and Web applications within a brokerage services
platform in a financial services environment. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered
or three (3) years of experience developing desktop and Web
applications within a brokerage services platform in a financial
services environment. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) developing complex desktop and Web
applications, using Microsoft .NET framework, C#, Windows forms,
TFS, Cruise Control, and PL/SQL; and building user interfaces (UI)
according to Infragistics and WPF frameworks. DE designing and building highly responsive, scalable, and
progressive modern Web applications, using Test Driven Development
framework (TDD), Angular, Node.js, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Java,
TypeScript, and Web Services (REST); and setting up application
monitoring and logging, using Splunk and AWS CloudWatch. DE optimizing desktop and Web application build and deployment
processes according to DevOps practices, Continuous
Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipeline structure, and
Agile Methodologies, using Jenkins, Maven, uDeploy, Sonar, Jira,
GIT, and Stash. DE defining and fine-tuning applications for performance SLAs
using ANTS memory/performance profiler; and applying .NET and Java
best practices to optimize code, and improve software quality and
