Job Description:

Crafts, details, develops, and implements Oracle (PL/SQL), Informatica, and Java applications in a dynamic financial services environment. Performs data analysis and develops complex SQLs and Scripts to extract required information. Performs complex data warehouse development using PL/SQL, Informatica, and Unix Shell Scripting. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.

Primary Responsibilities:

Participates in architecture design teams.

Defines and implements application level architecture.

Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.

Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.

Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.

Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.

Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.

Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.

Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.

Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.

Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.

Advises senior management on technical strategy.

Mentors junior team members.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience implementing Oracle (PL/SQL), Informatica, and Java applications in a financial services environment.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience implementing Oracle (PL/SQL), Informatica, and Java applications in a financial services environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing business intelligence data warehousing development, using Oracle and Informatica; analyzing data formulas within a Database (DB) calculation engine using SQL; writing SQL queries and scripts to extract data from large data sets within relational database environments; writing stored procedures to insert and maintain data, using Informatica and Oracle PL/SQL; and performing data transformations using Informatica.

DE performing relational and dimensional data modeling and analysis of datasets for DB data services using Informatica; performing database creation and ETL design according to DB data conversion standards, using, Oracle and SQL; and translating business requirements into technical designs in a fast-paced Agile delivery model.

DE extracting data from data stores and flat files and loading it into relational database environments -- Oracle; copying data to reporting relation databases, using Informatica Power Center, and stored procedures and functions; scheduling and executing batch jobs using Control-M; and performing database releases according to Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices, using Service Now and UDeploy.

DE performing PL/SQL application development and live production deployment; designing and developing backend applications to load data into data warehouses on Oracle, using Oracle PL/SQL, Informatica, and Java; designing and developing Control-M jobs to automate and schedule end-to-end processes; and fine-tuning SQL queries to optimize application performance.
