Job Description:

Develops decoupled middle-tier applications, using Java, Camunda BPM, Kafka, Spring MVC, and Spring boot framework. Develops User Interface (UI) applications, using Angular and Node. Develops backend code by writing PLSQL code and develops reports using Oracle Business Intelligence Reporting tool OBIEE and leveraging engineering best practices. Develops applications, using Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (Cl/CD) Automation, and DevOps pipelines. Builds Cloud-hosted applications, using Microsoft Azure. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience developing defined contribution recordkeeping and workplace investing systems in Java.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience developing defined contribution recordkeeping and workplace investing systems in Java.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) designing defined contribution recordkeeping and workplace investing systems according to business requirements and architecture standards, using Java/J2EE technologies, Drools, Spring MVC, and Spring Boot frameworks; developing orchestration and high performance application components, using Camunda and Kafka; and identifying and providing solutions for performance bottle necks, using Datadog, Splunk, and Dynatrace.

DE developing multi-threaded, mid-tier applications in distributed environments, using REST, JSON, and Swagger API; developing backend services on Oracle database, using SQL and PL/SQL; developing reports using Oracle Business Intelligence Reporting tool -- OBIEE; performing deployment operations using Continuous Integration (CI) tools -- Jenkins and Maven; performing configuration management using GIT stash; and performing Test Driven Development (TDD), using SONAR, and Mockito and JUnit testing techniques.

DE developing responsive Web applications, using Angular and Node.js; and developing rich browser compatible UI applications, using HTML5 as a client-side technology, CSS3 for styling, and JavaScript or TypeScript to execute dynamic content on webpages.

DE packaging applications using Docker container management platform; and deploying application packages on an on-premise Cloud, external Cloud, or Microsoft Azure; designing, developing, and supporting software for defined contribution and workplace investing functionalities including, rules based calculations according to Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, and Backlog grooming), using JIRA and Confluence.
