Job Description:
Develops and tunes the performance of large-scale computing
algorithms, using Java/Scala, C/C++, Python and Assembly languages
with parallel programming approaches -- MapReduce on Hadoop,
in-memory computing on SPARK, multi-GPU Servers and Quantum
Computing platforms. Implements complex algorithms into parallel
computing frameworks. Provides business unit-wide solutions by
developing complex, multi-faceted software applications. Develops
and manages Machine Learning (ML) models in commercialized
products. Performs model evaluation and computation performance
tuning on production environments. Primary Responsibilities: Partners with local and off-shore teams in technology design,
implementation, and delivery. Deploys ML solutions in production on Cloud infrastructure. Tunes and optimizes low-level languages for enhancing computing
performance. Applies existing quantum computing libraries and quantum circuit
design. Advances the research and development of AI/ML methods as
components in the delivery of innovative investment management
technology solutions. Develops machine-learning software prototypes that demonstrate
potential usefulness to customers. Participates in machine learning brownbag sessions and other
forms of collaborative learning to keep abreast of the constant
changes in Machine and Deep Learning. Develops applications that analyze data, using descriptive,
exploratory, predictive, explanatory, and prescriptive methods via
automation, using the latest machine learning, business
intelligence, search, and intelligent data technologies. Designs and implements portfolio risk and optimization
techniques to deliver industry differentiated capabilities. Researches and recommends new technologies in support of the
strategic direction of the business unit. Translates and incorporates business vision and objectives to
architectural strategy recommendations at the functional level. Identifies and consults with internal and external technical
resources to produce cross-company strategic designs. Consults on the development and delivery of major technology
initiatives for the business unit and on the deployment of major
project deliverables. Consults on the documentation of major technology
applications. Oversees the technical implementation of cross-divisional or
company architectural components. Initiates and drives project or strategy discussions with users
or external groups to resolve issues. Plans and leads organization-wide initiatives. Provides leadership, technical supervision, and expertise to
multiple teams in broad technical areas on complex
organization-wide projects. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Provides guidance, training, and coaching to other team members
for performance and career development. Designs, develops, and modifies complex and major software
systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to
predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Develops and directs software system testing and validation
procedures, programming, and documentation. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years
of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience
designing, developing, and implementing predictive models using
machine learning algorithms. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or
two (2) years of experience designing, developing, and implementing
predictive models using machine learning algorithms. Or, alternatively, PhD (or foreign equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and no
experience. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) developing, evaluating, and tuning
risk prediction models using Amazon Web Services (AWS) to predict
the health degree of an application during release-based on-time
series data sources, using Recurrent Neural Network and Lasso. DE designing the infrastructure of a Restful API, using Docker,
Flask, and Python to deploy prediction models as products on
AWS. DE building optimization algorithms, using SciPy, PuLP, and
CVXOPT to minimize portfolio returns while keeping tail-risk
(extreme loss) under loss tolerance; and maximizing the coverage of
investable assets and portfolios using high performant computing
advancements. DE constructing data pipelines, using Glue ETL, SQL, Spark, GPU
Farms, and Quantum Computing to prepare features for machine
