Job Description:
Designs and develops re-usable APIs that focus on customer
experience needs and optimize quality and deployment practices.
Rapidly deploy changes while minimizing risk through A/B tests,
blue-green deployments, and feature toggles using Continuous
Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices and tools.
Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple
software applications. Primary Responsibilities: Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in
multiple platforms. Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several
divisional initiatives. Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to
implementation. Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance
testing. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
supporting several corporate initiatives. Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems. Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a
project. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
experience designing and developing APIs for money movement and
account management applications. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or
one (1) year of experience designing and developing APIs for money
movement and account management applications. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) designing and developing multi-tier
and Web enabled legacy systems, using MQSeries, WebSphere Message
Broker, and JMS; designing and developing message broker interfaces
throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) according to
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA); and enabling Web services
security, using Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)
servers and Two-Way SSL authentication for financial systems. DE developing Web services (producers and consumers), using
SOAP/REST API and Swagger API; migrating SOAP services to REST
APIs, using WebSphere Message Broker (WMB), WSO2, and Dropwizard;
implementing Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery
(CD), using Jenkins, Docker, and uDeploy; developing APIs to
integrate with third party vendors -- Zelle, BNYMelon, and PayPal
-- to enable payment platform ecosystems. DE designing and developing Operational Decision Manager (ODM)
to enable business rules in money movement transactions for Web,
mobile, and iPad channels; and supporting business rules and
migrating them to the latest ODM servers. DE developing Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) interfaces to enable
communication with vendor Web services to exchange data; and
developing file transfer services using Web sphere Message Broker
