Job Description:

Designs, develops, tests, deploys, and releases asset management compliance applications. Works closely with designers, product owners, and developers on an integrated product team. Participates in project planning and resource planning.

Primary Responsibilities:

Delivers highly complex business and strategic initiatives.

Develops and reports project measurements and metrics.

Provides technology and database solutions on large and complex projects.

Documents technical solutions and creates specifications.

Leads database design and processes, rule migration strategies, system comparison processes, and management initiatives.

Oversees the scope, design, and development of new services to support relationship managers and plan sponsors and holders.

Defines and devises future state visions and multi-phase roadmaps and execution plans.

Leads discussions on the pros and cons of various approaches, risks, techniques, and methodologies to develop the best solutions.

Serves as a senior liaison with leadership and business shareholders and presents solutions and obtains agreements.

Supervises a team responsible for the design, development, deployment, testing, and support of applications and databases for investment compliance.

Manages resource allocation and workloads and delegates responsibilities and tasks to the team.

Established productivity goals and targets for initiatives.

Reviews team members work and ensures the implementation of business solutions.

Develops and reviews project plans, strategies, and schedules for deliverables.

Devises and deploys policies and procedures.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience designing and project managing information technology solutions and implementations within financial services, operations, and product development environments.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience designing and project managing information technology solutions and implementations within financial services, operations, and product development environments.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) designing and building investment compliance monitoring systems -- in-house built and vendor systems -- including, implementing Charles River Development platforms and automation frameworks for Investment Compliance Monitoring systems.

DE leading an engineering team and managing the delivery of systems functionality (using JIRA and Agile tools) and the migration of complex compliance applications (using Informatica, Oracle Tools, and Python).

DE building system architecture designs and developing complex solutions for application data storage using Oracle technologies; performing data warehousing, using Informatica, Oracle Tools, and Information barriers; and providing data protection for complex data structures, using Oracle Tools and SAML Single-Sign-On (SSO frameworks).

DE provisioning Cloud infrastructure components -- EMR, EC2, RDS, and Elastic Load Balancer setup -- for data analysis, reporting, and consumption on Cloud, using AWS, AWS Lambda server-less computing, Cloud formation, and CI/CD tools (Chef and Jenkins).
